Buying land for sale is a worthy investment

The richest men in the world including Donald Trump and Howard Hughes have made billions investing in land for sale. Actually most investors have made fortune in land for sale. So if this idea has never crossed your mind then it is time to get a closer look at land for sale as an investment because it can produce great returns at very low risk.

Most investors have bought land for sale in the UK and this business has been a very profitable one making triple digit returns just in a few years. Many companies specialized in land have made it possible for foreign and UK investors to buy land for sale in UK with just $10,000.

If you are interested in investing by buying land for sale in the UK here are some hints of how you should get started.

UK land is a better investment than other (like properties, equities and derivatives) because the risk one takes is smaller in this case. Business with land for sale in the UK is and will be a good investment in the near future. Prices grow more and more everyday because UK is one of the most populated countries in Europe. The growth in population increases the pressure on house demand, so the investment business with land for sale in the UK can only profit from this aspect. The last few years, the land for sale in UK, near the city areas, has given investors a good opportunity to gain a lot in a short time.

If you want to know the secrets of capital growth through land for sale investments then you should keep on reading. The most important thing to keep in mind is the location. If you are looking to purchase a land for sale then you should buy one that will get a planning permission in the future. When you invest in a land for sale, your capital is guaranteed as soon as you obtain permission in building houses. The trick is that even if it sounds easy there is no guarantee that you will obtain the planning permission.

So there are some downsides but they are limited. There is no certainty that investing in land for sale in UK or any other country will make your capital grow. Land’s value may not increase as much as you expect, but statistics show that land prices do grow so the risk is limited. On the other hand, land companies give investors the opportunity to turn their purchased land into money by giving them “buy back options”. This means that they can liquidate and bank their money quickly. So, the risks are reduced even more and it is very likely for the investor to gain profit.

This method -- of buying land for sale in order to gain profit (called land banking)-- is the easiest one because all one has to remember is to buy land for sale in the best location, obtain the planning permission and the investment is guaranteed.
In conclusion, investing in land for sale in UK or in other countries is a perfect example of how investors can triple their capital in a short amount of time, with low downside risks.

Discount Brokers

Discount brokers are stockbrokers who help carry a wide variety of business deals. Generally, they accept orders for stock, stock options and futures trading deals. They are known by different names such as discount commodity brokers, discount stockbrokers and discount real estate brokers. Compared to full-service brokers, discount brokers buy and sell orders at a reduced commission.

Discount brokers allow a person to buy "no-load" mutual funds at a reduced commission. Through an arrangement with a particular fund, free mutual funds are sometimes offered. Discount brokers will often provide (for a small fee) a free 1-page Standard & Poor's Stock report on the stocks you are requesting and a 5-10-page research report. Twenty-four hour telephone stock quotes services are also provided, allowing the person to build trades.

There are four types of discount brokerage firms, “full-service,” “discount,” “deep discount” and “computer or electronic.” Full-service discount brokers offer services that are identical to a full-service broker. They own local branch offices for personal service, newsletters, a personal account representative and considerable literature. Discount firms carry out the same functions as that of the full-service discount firms. The only difference is they don’t have local branches. Their commissions are around 1/3rd the price of a full-service agent.

Deep discount brokers are stock brokers who execute only stock and option trades. They have fixed commissions (flat fee) for any trade of any size. Computer or electronic brokers offer services similar to deep discount brokers. Their service is primarily aimed at computer users who trade via the internet.

Some discount brokers, who cannot be clearly categorized, fall between "discount" and "deep discount." They cater to skilled, high-volume traders with high demands for quality service.

Corporate Angel Investors Definition

Corporate angels are former business executives who have retired early or have been replaced. Although investment is one of their goals, they look for personal opportunity at the same time. So, usually they want to acquire a position in the business as part of the deal. But this should be thoroughly discussed since some corporate angels can be too controlling.

Entrepreneurial Angel Investors Definition

Entrepreneurial angels are successful business owners themselves. Unlike the corporate angels, they can take bigger risks and provide larger amount of money since they have a steady income source. Professional Angel Investors Definition

Professional angels are lawyers, accountants, and doctors who want to make investments in companies that offer a service or product with which they have little experience. Their main goal of investing is to be hired by the business at the same time as consultant in their area of expertise.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

I like maxims and quips. Little phrases that tell a big story. I like the parables in the Bible because a child can say "I get it," and an aged student can say "Oh… now I get it." The principle of keeping it simple is a good one for most of life's situations including trading. And while trading skills are not easy to master, they involve simple principles.

Mastery in most areas of life includes learning to conserve extraneous movement and effort. When it is done right it looks simple and onlookers often say "Well, I could do that." But the "wanna be" soon finds that it is not as easy as it seems. Trading can be frustrating and discouraging, but when the market seems to get you down and you feel like you will never get it, remember Sean Connery's famous line, "Impossible, but doable."

Too often, traders experience real highs and real lows. While the give and take is normal and expected, big swings are usually the result of changing stride or technique inappropriately. Finding your stride or niche can really make the trading life a lot more consistent and smooth and therefore, profitable. Getting to know a few terrific trading stocks rather than collecting all the potential candidates from recommendations and scans begins to overwhelm a trader and changes the rifle shot accuracy to a shotgun splatter.

So, a while back in a Trader Talk Live training a student wrote "- the past 7 days of trading have been absolutely fantastic. I have confirmed again the value of following just a few stocks and getting to learn (as much as possible) their behavior. PD is one of my all time favorites". She was referring to a principle that is trained in the Trader's Forge two day trading camp that I conduct once a month. I advise students to build a stable of good trading stocks and get to know them. Pick your favorite 6-10 and back trade them repeatedly. Learn to recognize the patterns of behavior. Does it behave in similar ways around earnings? Does it make clean or sloppy turns? Does it have a tendency to throw certain chart patterns? In doing so, you get a feel for the traders who influence the stock and improve your chances to repeatedly tap that stock for pattern trades.

The patterns we observe are the behavior of people. Key Traders are interacting with various levels of traders, brokers, fund managers and the public. This cast of players is unique in each stock or group of stocks, bonds, commodities etc. Hence, unique patterns develop and that is the key. Instead of flitting around like a butterfly from bush to bush looking for a new flower, you can find certain flowers that keep producing on a regular cycle. You develop a routine and learn the cycle so that you can just stick around and harvest over and over again.

I have a friend who taught me this principle in a dramatic way. He had a very narrow group of stocks that he got to know and not only did he learn the patterns, but he also studied the company's behavior. He knew how they acted around earnings, what products they were releasing, and how their stock responded to economic news and events. One year alone, he made over $750,000 trading one company. It was interesting to note that others seeing his success always wanted to know, "What's it going to do next?" Like the children's story of the Little Red Hen, most fellow traders wanted to cash in on his valuable insight and very few asked him to teach them how to trade like he traded. It was folly to think that if he gave them the information, they would also gain the skill it took to glean the information. That, however, is human nature.

It is the nature of most folks to want to find the easiest way. Most want to find a secret or a magic strategy. A good deal of the GDP of this country is based on selling the sizzle, not the steak. We search for the fountain of youth, the short cut, and the edge so to speak, but in the end one universal constant remains. Working smart is better than working hard. And in the end, the magic is usually finding the key or core of the matter and developing some simple and specialized skills.

If you can find a piece of good ground that can be cultivated and harvested over and over again, you find one of the jewels of trading. The secret of most millionaires is finding a stream of residual income. Patterns are there because people are creatures of habit and the market is just people. With six to ten good pattern trading stocks in the price range you like, there will always be something ready to trade. When you run across a great stock, you can replace the weakest one in your stable and place it on the bench until it warrants taking a position on the starting lineup.

The problems come when a trader chases the latest hot stock or lets their field of vision widen too far. When you find an account size and a group of stocks and a few strategies that work, stick with it!!! And don't mess with it and Dance with what 'brung ya'.

I would love to have you spend a couple days with me in the Trader's Forge. As a trading coach, that is where I can do the most good for you. I train folks in the Trader Talk Live mentoring workshops each week but that training is most beneficial to the folks who have been to the two day training of the Forge. Last week was a terrific training in Tampa. This month is Denver and then on to Detroit.

I hope to see you in the online web training classes held throughout the week and soon in a two day FORGE Trading workshop.

Basic Investing Rules

Investing your money can be a great way to ensure your financial future. With the right investment choices, you can be sure to have money for emergencies, to put towards the education of your children, and to have available when the time comes for you to retire. There is a key word in the preceding phrase however- “right”. If you make the wrong investment choices, you may just end up where you started or worse, flat broke. Most people who invest wisely by making the right decisions with their money follow the same basic investment pattern, although they may define it by another name. It might be that you are the cynical type who chooses to believe that the basic rules could not possibly be as easy as they seem, in an area that seems so complex. It is true. However, that these rules have withstood the test of time.

First of all, make sure that the money you choose to invest is indeed earmarked for the purpose. As in any form of gambling, there is nothing to be gained and everything to be lost when it comes to investing. Do not put up money that you cannot afford to lose should the market take a downturn.

One rule that people seem to refuse to apply in any area of their lives, including the world of investing, is lean not on your own understanding. Most of the time, this is the result of people balking at entrusting another person with their money, believing that with a little understanding they can work the market themselves. This reasoning is fundamentally flawed. In the first place, most people will not be able to begin to unravel the complicated graphs, pie charts, and statistics by which the investment world relates its information. In order to understand what the numbers mean, you will need to have some basic training. There may come a time after you have had some experience in the market that you will be able to make sound decisions on your own, but the initial get-your-feet-wet phase is not the time to attempt it. Check the background of the advisor you choose, as there are a lot of brokers out there looking for a quick fleece. The best brokers will have years of experience, a variety of investment backgrounds, and will probably cost you much less than you might think.

Think long term. Unless you invest millions of dollars initially, it will take time for your investments to mature and begin to accumulate substantial gains. The best investments are proven over time, and thus it is best to place your funds in long term choices. The details of this are plain- it is best to forget about this money in terms of a cash fall back, at least for a number of years.

Diversification is an oft-flogged truism of the investment world. A good portfolio will include cash and cash equivalents (GICs, fixed annuities), growth investments (stocks), and growth and income investments such as mutual funds. Diversification ensures that you do not have all your eggs in one basket should any part of the market experience a downturn. Note that diversification means not only investing in several areas, but also making sure that no one area contains a disproportionate percentage of your funds.

Emotion In Investing

Humans are all emotional being. We do not always make decisions rationally. Emotion is part of us as investors. Investors might feel better towards stocks at certain point or they might feel that owning stocks are risky and avoid it at all cost.

Investors may also feel attached towards a specific company and continue owning the stock without regards to its fundamental. For example, you might like Google's search engine so much that you decide to buy the stock at $ 350 without doing any research. You figure that Google's search engine is so much better that buying the stock will give you profit, right? Wrong. Now, I am not here to bash Google as an investment, but analyzing an investment goes beyond the products and companies. Most investors can identify good companies and products. It is quite easy. You know that a Mercedes is a better car than a Ford or a Civic.

The next question is how much should you pay for a Mercedes or a Civic? This requires us to put aside our emotion for a second and think clearly. Sure, you'd like to have a Mercedes in your life. It is luxurious and have a lot more fancy features than a Civic has. But, that does not mean you should overpay for it. It works similar with stock investing.

Google is a good search engine, probably the best that is ever produced so far. Sure, you probably pay more for Google than other generic search engines. But, please don't over pay. You invest in Google to profit from it not because you like its products.

So, how do we eliminate emotion from our investing decision? We can't eliminate it completely but there are certainly tools that might help. One is to calculate the fair value of a common stock that you are investing in. I covered this plenty of times but basically, the fair value of an investment is dependent upon the streams of profit generated by it. In the long run, if company A earns more than company B, then company A will be valued more than company B.

For a company that is growing such as Google, you can incorporate its growth and calculate the fair value with growth. I have talked about this once and you are welcomed to check our commentary section.

I know I don't exactly give you the best solution to the problem. Emotion is hard to ignore. I am not immune to that. But following your emotion will cost you a lot of money. Just watch those investors that bought during the NASDAQ peak in 2000. Don't follow the herd and keep your focus on the fair value of your stock. You will do really really well.
